The sturdy pottery shakers are in the form of skyscrapers, with stepped sides. A stylized flower and the letter S or P is stenciled in white on each pink shaker. Unsigned as to the maker, they are 4 1/2 inches high and 3 inches wide, and have their original corks.
In good vintage condition, these shakers have a few flaws. Each shaker has chips - an old one on the pepper shaker, and a few newer ones along the bottom edge of the salt, the largest of which is shown in the pictures below. They have no cracks and the glazed surfaces are finely crazed. .
