The figure of Christ on the crucifix is nicely detailed, with INRI over His head. The back of the cross is signed, France. The centre is a Miraculous Medal of the Virgin Mary. Under her feet is the date, 1830, and around the medal is inscribed, "Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee". On the reverse of the medal, a ring of twelve stars surrounds two sacred hearts, a cross entwined with an M, and the word France again.

This rosary is 17 inches long. In very good condition, with its gently worn, pinkish beads, it would make a lovely gift for a young girl's first communion.
