This lovely little half doll, wearing a sailor style middy blouse and sporting a broad brimmed, blue banded hat, is all set for a day on the sea. Perhaps it is windy - both hands hold her hat down over her golden curls. With her glowing cheeks and smiling rosebud mouth, she is the picture of health.

My research indicates this tiny treasure dates from 1893 - 1923, as evidenced by the simple word, "Foreign", stamped on her back. Closely resembling German dolls of this same period, she is 2 inches tall and 3/4 of an inch across the base.

As you can see in the photos, she does have a glaze pop on her hat and a few "freckles" - tiny brownish spots - here and there; but no cracks or chips. Her delicate face is perfect.

A sweet collectable in an easy to display, easy to move size, great in a grouping of other feminine pretties.
