This is a fabulous sterling silver brooch is marked with patent pending and silver. The books mark it as a Trifari. This pin has fabulous stones, all there. The chain links the dagger to the scabbard. Measures 4" X 1.5" when dagger is in scabbard. Black enamel background, multi colored stones. There seems to be in lots of the designer jewelry books. I believe this is also the original box but not sure. Fantastic addition to your jewelry collection. I have been informed by another dealer that this Sword & Scabbard brooch wa made be Urie Mandel Co. pat. #146,950 issued to the designer Marray Slater, June 17, 1947.
