Take a look on page 87 of Barbara Ifert’s book of "Made in Japan Ceramics 1921-1941" and you will see a sister to the vase pictured. Hand painted around 1920, she really is quite small at a height of a little over 3”, but she looked great with a few violets or forget-me-knots that we picked for my mother every spring.
