This little pre WWII carved German Tube has always fascinated me. I was disappointed when it didn't test positive for being bakelite with 409. Majestic Metal Specialties, Inc. of Conn made this N. Kasdan Vanity case for Yardley. Be sure to check out its Patent number 2,217,908. It is really intriguing to see the June 15, 1939 file date, the claims made and the drawings submitted for the Patent that was granted on October 15, 1940. The Yardley stamp is on the back. This vintage atomizer has a unusual bulb of blue-green plastic. It reads "Evans-Crowder Company, No. One spray". This cap is plastic with glitter. It measures 4 and 3/4" H. This 2 ½” leather vanity compact is in nice condition. Although the puff is gone it is still a beauty . The top has a rub in the leather next to the applied name of the original owner, Kay, but it doesn’t distract from the vintage piece. This miniature bottle of Jasmin by C. Marsay, Inc. USA is empty but it is still a great collectible and a pleasure to look at. Straight from my mom's dresser is this Soap Stone Scottie whose little silk ribbon is falling apart from age. I will pack it carefully with the 3 1/2" bottle, an expert could preserve it.
