Antique French Victorian LARGE Black Forest TRAMP ART 3 Photo Frame WOW!

An authentic c 1900 French Tramp Art frame, very likely made in the Black Forest as it was found in a region of France very close to it.

The frame is fairly large and heavy, and can contain 3 photos.

There are still 3 sisters there!

A fun trio. as they are all photographed in exactly the same pose, wearing the same austere Victorian black dress and a black bead necklace that may well be for prayer.

Their photos have been printed on postcards as was common then.

Of course you probably will want to replace these antique sepia colored images with pictures of your loved ones, and we will be happy to remove these old photos for you, but keep the 3 ladies, as they make a very interesting set.

The frame is a typical Tramp Art hand tooled wood, probably pine, with three layers of carving.

These layers are displayed according to an original composition, and are also painted a silver gray inside each photo slot. This is a hanging piece, but it can also stand against another object, etc. on a shelf or desk.

A fantastic Victorian artifact which will bring style and originality to any decor!

MEASUREMENTS: Length: 17". Width: 8 1/2". Each picture max: 5 1/4" by 3 3/4"

CONDITION: The frame has been cleaned and is ready to use.

The wood is in remarkable condition, with no damage whatsoever. One pic shows a lighter area, but this is not broken, just more shiny. Central piece of glass is missing. Very easy to replace at the local hardware store: they cut glass to measurements for windowpanes. Also really inexpensive. Many people prefer to have flat glass parts removed for shipping, as they often break during international flights. Also, modern framing tends to use plexi more and more.

We can remove the glass parts for you if you prefer, or pack the frame as it is. Just let us know.
