Antique 19th C GEORGIAN/Regency Painting/Watercolor 3 Ladies in Empire Dresses Dated 1810 WOW!

I just fell in love with this Georgian "Scene de Genre", showing 3 exquisite ladies wearing divine silk and velvet Empire dresses. They are too charming with their fans, their ringlets and their delicate Georgian slippers!

They are going out no doubt, possibly already sitting in the Opera House corridor, which would explain the lyra chair.

This is a vivid watercolor with a large palette of pastels and one stronger color, the long green velvet cape.

The style is extremely reminiscent of the Ackerman Repository of Fashions: Greek profiles, attitudes, furniture.

And this may very well be an original painting later engraved as a plate for an issue of the famous Georgian fashion magazine.

Though there were several hundreds of each Ackerman magazine issue printed, there was of course only one painting for each scene.

MEASUREMENTS:

Length: 9 1/2". Width: 6 1/2".

CONDITION: In very good condition. Some slight, normal darkening of the artist's paper in some areas. One long thin diagonal crease on the right. No tears or holes. Colors still very fresh.
