Vintage HOLLYWOOD 50s/60s Silver Sequined Black COCKTAIL Top/Blouse Size M/Medium WOW!

From a Hollywood estate, a divine 1950s or very early 60s, high quality crepe black top, very likely worn by a star of the time!

The top which was done by an expert seamstress, is incredibly feminine, with a slimming shape, beautiful shoulders, and 2 huge, WILD sequined knots.

The knots are very three dimensional, and intricately embroidered with silver sequins.

One of the knots is applied slantway on one hip, while the other one is applied on the opposite shoulder, and is visible from 3 angles: front, side and back.

The top is buttoned at the back with these beautiful 1950s round fabric buttons, and of course finished by hand.

It has besides a soft curved line at the bottom, harmoniously balanced by a heart shape neckline.

MEASUREMENTS:

Length: 25 1/2". Armpit to armpit: 40" max. Between Shoulders seams: 16". Waist: 30" max . Bottom: 40" max. Arm opening: 18". Sleeve Length: 22 1/2".

Though bust and bottom are for a Medium size, the waist is of course narrower than today.

You could push the buttons there by 1/4" to 1/2". Also there is a lot fabric inside (2") on the buttons side, which could be used if necessary.

In centimeters: Length: 65.5cm. Armpit to armpit: 102.5cm max. Waist: 77cm max. Bottom: 102.5cm. Between Shoulders seams: cm. Arm opening: 46cm.

CONDITION: Very good. Clean. (but not drycleaned) Black still very black. No fading. Silver sequins are fresh. No holes or stains. This custom piece has no brand label, as to be expected.
