Vintage 30s Large French Art DECO Country Flowers Embroidery/Centerpiece WOW!

From the same amazing French textiles collection, a large, intricate cut out embroidery from the Art Deco era, with bright colored poppies done on rustic ecru linen.

Though these pieces were later reproduced, this is a 1930s original, as can clearly be seen from the age of the fabric.

I was told this type of coloring was done with diluted colored sugar!

The piece is of course all hand done, and was used to serve coffee or tea, as can be seen from a few scattered faint stains.

Today, it can be used as a centerpiece on a small coffee table or a larger farm table, to make a huge round pillow, or it can be framed. At any rate it has such decorative qualities, it will bring a lot French provincial cheerfulness to any room, and because of the sturdiness of the fabric, it should last another century!

MEASUREMENTS: Diameter: 18".

CONDITION: In very good condition. A few faint stains as mentioned before. No particular wear. Poppy colors still very fresh.
