ART & ANTIQUES DON'T LIE! Time to replenish our BELOVED COLLECTIONS. We ship Worldwide. Questions Welcome! See left column
The box which was found in London, was crafted circa 1820-1840 and was probably a glove box, with some glove tools inside the lid. The inside is a light blue silk, which, though stained, has retained some of its color freshness due to its being kept away from daylight.
A totally unusual artifact with a lot of style and Georgian elegance, which will be perfect for both antique and contemporary decors.
MEASUREMENTS: Length:9 1/2" Width: 3 1/2" Depth: 2 1/2".
CONDITION In good condition for its 180 years old or so! Closes well, no key, though the key mechanism seems to still be there. No stains tp the wood, but the very ancient varnish shows signs of aging. One dark lozenge may be a replacement, though nearly as old as the box.
Item ID: 1160ANT
