Art is for the Home and for the Soul. Prints, Drawings, Paintings TO DIE FOR! Layaways. We ship worldwide everyday.
They were hand made in the 1950s or very early 60s and their subjects are "Independence Hall" and Liberty Bell".
Both scenes have gardens with manicured lawns and roses, and characters dressed in lovely period costumes.
In "Independence Hall", a family is listening to 3 men making the Independence speech from a tower. The little boy who wears a fun outfit is waving to them.
In "Liberty Bell", a bell is transported by 2 men on a horse carriage. There is a charming hall in the distance and a house at the front, with what looks like an old shop.
Everything is just adorable, a dream world with the details of a doll's house!
The frames are a bronze green with a touch of gold and are perfect for the pieces.
This rare pair will bring a lot of vintage charm and Americana poetry to any decor.
(Please check my 2 other lovely vintage needlepoints, one a sampler, one a lady's portrait)
