Vintage Needlepoint/Sampler Victorian Couple in Garden Mansion Butterflies AWESOME!

Incredibly fresh in spirit and colors, this vintage needlepoint/ sampler from the 60s/70s has a composition, characters, decorative details and a motto to die for!

You will love its pastel colors, particularly its fresh pink, its naive butterflies, fun trees with big red apples, the charming period costumes of the man and the woman, (not totally accurate for 1890 though in my opinion!)

The motto is about friendship:

" A friend in need is a friend indeed". which has of course a lot of ancient charm.

The couple is in a garden, with a mansion on top and a mountain in the distance.

Maybe the small scattered shapes are snowflakes, or fleur de lis, or maybe some UFOs.. Just kidding!

It's just an adorable piece.

Perfect for many decors: Shabby Chic, Country French, Boudoir, Romantic, Southern, Paris Apt, rustic, etc..
