A delicate Chinese embroidery from the late Qing Dynasty, circa 1880-1900, done with satin stitch on a thick pink/orange cotton.

The scene is exquisite and very poetic, with a lot of lightness to it, it represents a bird on a branch among flowers.

All the colors are pastel: a lovely pink, a magenta, a moss green, a peach, etc. and because of the nature of the satin floss, very shiny.

The embroidery comes with a standard size matting and is ready for framing.

MEASUREMENTS: Matting. Length: 14" Width: 11" Embroidery inside matting: Length 10 1/4" Width: 8 1/4"

CONDITION: The background cotton has faded a lot and is now a very pale pink with a touch of orange in it. There are mini holes and various discolorations/light stains in the fabric, probably due to water. The embroidery is intact and colors are still very vivid.

In good condition.
