The Qing Emperors would reward individuals of exceptional merit by granting them permission to wear a yellow detail, yellow being the exclusive color of the Emperor.
Done on a luxurious thick silk crepe (Crepe de Chine), they were worn as sleeve bands and have couched gold details and lovely palm effects.

MEASUREMENTS: Each: length: 29 1/2". Width: 4".
CONDITION: micro holes, only revealed when you hold the piece to the light. Cut to one sleeve end. Part not lost and attached to the main part. Some fading, but colors: light gray,several shades of green, of blue,of pink, still vivid. Couched gold (with gold content) quite shiny. In excellent condition for its age.
