It has a rectangular block with (4) additional marks: Lion Passant indicating they are sterling silver. Lepards Head uncrowned indicating assay office London after 1821. Date letter "R" matching year 1852. Queens Head "Victoria Duty Mark" est 1844 in London. These marks coupled with the fact that Charles Rawlings & Wm Summers were active from 1829 to 1860 indicates authenticity. The Chalice measures 3.25" high and 1 5/8" across. The plate measures 2 5/8" across and 5/8" high. The inside of the Chalice is guilded gold.
