Franklin Moody, a noted American artist, created (8) beautiful paintings as a tribute to the "Greatest Show on Earth". Moody's work was inspired by the many colorful circus posters which covered many a bulletin board and telephone pole, throughout the United States , not to many years ago.
Moody's evocative art was transferred to a porcelain medium by the highly skilled artists of Porcelaine Ariel. They created (8) creamy, fine china plates rimmed in 24K gold. Each plate in the limited edition is hand numbered, hand dated, and hand initialed by the Firing Master. The detail and beauty of these collectible plates is outstanding. Truly a must have set for collectors of circus memorabilia.
This set was fired in late 1981 and early 1982. It comes with a certificate of authenticity. The plates do not have the original boxes. They sold for $35.00 in '81 & '82.
Send an email for a 16 image slide show of all eight plates and certificates. Sold as a set of (8) only. .
