A most unusual antique Victorian Cameo. The cameo has a neat hand carved design depicting Medusa of Greek Mythology. The cameo has excellent attention to detail and is beautiful. The setting is marked "Sterling" on the safety clasp. The setting has a rope or licorice twist design. Overall dimensions are just over 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" including the setting. The cameo is in very good overall condition. The setting is slightly loose although the cameo will not fall out. There are some dings around the front perimeter. The cameo is well worth resetting and would be lovely in Gold. It would make an excellent addition to a Victorian era jewelry collection.
