A lovely antique Victorian water pitcher. The water pitcher is made of ironstone and features a blue transfer design of Clementis type flowers. The design is a nice example of an Aesthetic or Naturalistic motif. The only mark is an incised number "10" on the underside. The pitcher is large with overall dimensions of 12" high, 8" handle to spout and 4 1/2" in diameter at the base. It is in very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. There are scattered in the making glaze pops especially where the blue is heaviest and 2 small clay shrink lines on the handle. The water pitcher has a nice decorative quality and would be perfect for a bouquet of flowers. It is a nice antique item.
