Antique 14 KT Gold Tiffany Love Knot Stickpin

A lovely antique Gold Stickpin. I acquired this from an estate and it came in a leather covered box that is marked "Tiffany & Co, Union Square". The stickpin is not marked but I had it tested by a Jeweler and it is 14 KT Gold. The jeweler commented that the finish was unusual, he said the stickpin was dipped in acid several times to remove the other metal ores, this leaves a pure gold finish on the surface. The stickpin is large measuring 3 1/8" long, the love knot is 11/16" x 9/16", it is heavy for it's size. The stickpin is in very good overall condition. The box has wear. The stickpin would make a lovely addition to a Victorian era jewelry collection.
