A lovely antique hand painted porcelain brooch. The image is titled Erbluth and is after Asti. The hand painted details are exceptional (the white specs are not on the portrait, they are dust specks on my camera lens). The plaque is signed on the front "Wagner" and is marked on the back with numbers "1 5". Wagner was known for his beautifully executed KPM portraits on porcelain. It measures 3 3/8" x 2 5/8" including the setting. The setting looks like it is gold plated, gold filled or rolled gold. The porcelain plaque or brooch is in very good overall condition. The only thing to note are some indents on the setting which can be straightened out by a jeweler, see photos. The brooch would make a wonderful addition to a KPM or fine jewelry collection.
