This is such an unusual miniature basket. While I have seen many larger Grand Tour souvenirs of this type, this is the first miniature item I have come across. The basket is made of brass and the center medallion is glass with a tiny print of a building, the building has piece of Mother of Pearl inlay. The basket measures only 2 1/4" in diameter x 2" high. It is in very good overall condition. There are a few slight bends mainly on the handle, see photos. The basket would be adorable displayed with antique dolls, in a doll house decor or as a special ring holder. It is a charming little item.
