A very beautiful set of antique Art Nouveau Bookends. The bookends feature a lovely lady surrounded by Daisy flowers, she is holding a small drum . The lady is dressed in clothing with an Egyptian flair in the design. These bookends are made of plaster and feature the original painted finish. Both are marked with the copyright symbol of a "C" in a circle and the number "127". They are large scale pieces with each measuring 7 3/4" high and 7 3/4" x 3 1/2" at the base, they are heavy and perfect for hard cover books. Both bookends are in very good clean condition. They were well cared for through the years and even the original felt is still present on the back and bottoms. The bookends could easily fit into a Victorian, Art Nouveau or Art Deco decor. They are lovely.
