Vintage Framed Print "Eastern Tranquility" - C. Chandler Ross

This print was called a "painting" by Reofect, a company that made reconstructions of high quality art objects during the first half of the 1900's. They were varnished and simulated real paintings very well using excellent workmanship. The Reofect label is still on the back. The original painting was by listed Artist C. Chandler Ross who died in Ridgefield, Ct in 1952. This work is entitled "Eastern Tranquility". He is well listed and is known for his Oriental still life and flower paintings. This is in the original and very elegant frame. It has a wide border, all wooden with a carved dogwood flower motif. The size of the image is 24" by 16" and with the frame it is 30 1/2" by 19 1/2". The condition is good. The outside border of the frame has minor scuffs and could use some cleaning.
