A music box in a ceramic figure form of a happy looking swan holding a flower in his beak. He is comfortable sitting in a woven (ceramic) flower basket. This is a 1983 Schmid music box. Schmid discontinued business in 1995. They made many figurines most notably a large collection for Disney. They are becoming more collectible. The Schmid logo is impressed on the left side. This one plays the tune "Younger Than Spring Time". It's played by winding the key underneath. The lever on the side is used to play or stop the music. This music box is in very good condition. The only flaw noted is a "flea bite" (meaning very tiny) on the top feather of his tail. It's size is 6" long by 5 1/2" wide.
