This brooch comes a close to looking like "the real thing" as any costume piece I can remember. Of course, it isn't, but I do believe that it is made by one of the superior costume jewelry makers who failed to sign it.

The brooch is 2 1/2" long and 1 1/4" wide. It is fashioned in striated gold tone metal with rhinestones set is in the leaves and in sprays coming from a center hole. There is also green "fruit" dangling from the same center. I believe that it is designed as a pineapple bunch after looking at the back of the piece. The green pieces are some form of man made material, I believe - the coloring is amazing.

The piece of molding in the picture of the back of the brooch was for securing it - it doesn't go with the brooch!
