A top quality antique English, solid sterling silver vesta / matchsafe with striker to the base and the beautifully fine vitreous enamelled coat of arms for St John's College, Oxford.

Fab quality - a terrific, original and very collectable safe!

CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Minimal wear. Slight wear to the enamel surface (nothing of any consequence). No chips or cracks. Slight dents to back. Hinge & closure spot on.

DEFECTS: None.

DATE/MARKS: English hallmark for B'ham 1902. Maker's marks SB & S Ld.

DIMENSIONS: 1 ¾ x 1 ¼ inches (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or 3/4 of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 33.1 grams.
