Meissen Botanical Cup and Saucer

This is a Meissen Hand Painted floral cup and saucer. I must say the artists are Meissen were fabulous floral painters. The main attraction are the Viola cornuta or Johnny Jump-ups on the cup. There are blue small, petaled flowers also on the cup. The saucer boasts a wonderful poppy type flower and pod, along with smaller blue flowers. The cup has a twisted handle, twin attachments at top. Both saucer and cup lined with gold. The cup is 3 1/4"D x 2 1/4"H, the saucer is 5" D and 1 1/4" high (bowl type saucer). No chips, cracks or crazing. Very slight gold loss to the . The Meissen back mark has two incised lines through the crossed swords indicating it is 2nd choice. I have looked hard for any flaws but none noticed. This mark dates the set ca. 1860-1924
