The hand painted florals are just gorgeous on this Limoges piece. Some call it a relish, some call a candy dish. The size is 8"L by 4 1/4"D. The sides vary from 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" high. The florals, one of each, being a rose, carnation, pansy, aster, and a lone poppy off the side. The blank is very ornate covered with sponged gold.

Backmarks: Straus Lewis & Sons 1890-1920's, and Granger Mark 2, 1922-1938. This piece would have been produced and decorated around 1922.

No chips, cracks or crazing, The painting is all in tact. There is gold loss as you can see in the photos, especially to the raised circle at either ends.
