I have been collecting Haviland for many years and have never come upon such a huge cup and saucer. The flat saucer is 6 1/4"D, the Cup is 4"W at its largest point, at the rim it is 3 1/4".

The decoration is 95% hand painted. The twiggy like branches are transfer. The colors are bold, sienna berries and blue flowers. The leaves are two different shades of brown. All florals and leaves are outlined and detailed with hand painted gold.

This mark was used from 1882-1890. The set is decorated in the Haviland Limoges Factory.
