The broach is not original to the hat- there was something attached at the same point but it was not with the hat when I bought it. The hat is in great shape - no moth holes etc. It was stored with stuffing in the hat to keep it shape. It looks like it just came out of the store. Own a piece of the past and be one of the few that have a great hat like this to wear.
