Ever wonder why you never see garnet in substantial sizes? The fact is when they reach a large size they lose their appeal due to heavy inclusions and are opaque and dull. The pendant on this chandelier necklace is rather rare due to it's large size at an amazing 17mm x 11mm and is beautifully translucent in a rich Cabernet with tons of sparkle.

I purchased this many years ago at a trade show and have been using the strand sparingly since I have not come across any since! Rather pricey but well worth it due to its rarity, priced at higher than many tourmalines. There is slight surface blemish in the back of the pendant which is to be expected for such a size and does not detract from it's spectacular beauty in any way.

The necklace features a total of 9 solitaire briolette in a matching shade of Cabernet with multiple faceting on the underside to maximize sparkle. Coiled with silver wire along with spacers of bright silver accents, to lovely links of sterling and is adjustable from 15.5" to 18" with a pear shape briolette at the end of the extender.
