And, that is the story with this magnificent vintage Thunderbird! It is either enameled or hand painted pewter, but the detail and the design conception make this particular Thunderbird a superb collectible. I have seen the Thunderbird symbol lots of times....... they are symbols for the Navajo as well as for other Latin American Cultures, and if I knew enough, I am sure I could narrow the field and identify this image more narrowly. He is so replete with design details, markings, and mask.
I have used a neat old woven steel chain and a handful of vintage clay and other beads, as well as two different smaller Thunderbird figures and native feather charms. I have also made a pair of earrings to go with the piece.
It is 13.5 inches long and slips over the head.
The earrings are currently for pierced ears, but I am happy to change them to clip if so needed.
Please remember that I always like to know how long YOU would like your new Floradora to be. Generally about an inch and a half larger than your actual wrist measurement is good for a robust bracelet with SO MANY charms!
ALL the work I am listing today and tomorrow reflect RECESSION pricing and does not in any way reflect what I believe these LOADED, labor intensive and unique bracelets are worth!! Enjoy!
