Nevertheless, I have been collecting boat related elements for ages and had a fabulous selection from which to choose the bits on this stunning piece!
Naturally, it is rather red, white and blue ~ all nautical things tend to be in this scheme, but this one is also so, so, so brilliantly gold (faux, natch)!! Among the fabulous things on this piece is what I take to be a souvenir piece from "Queen Elizabeth 2nd"! It is charming, and has a movable part, double sided!
There is also a very special, quite petite, "treasure basket" with a tightly fitting opening lid. There is a scrimshaw sailboat on the top, and for some reason, the tiniest copper penny I have ever seen inside! There must be a fable or story behind this piece, but it alludes me! (I do know that if I had chosen to sell it on a famous auction site, I could have gotten serious money for it!)
I made a pair of earrings for this Floradora ~ very simple dangles. I will need to know if your ears are pierced.
Please remember that I always like to know how long YOU would like your new Floradora to be. Generally about an inch and a half larger than your actual wrist measurement is good for a robust bracelet with SO MANY charms!
ALL the work I am listing today and tomorrow reflect RECESSION pricing and does not in any way reflect what I believe these LOADED, labor intensive and unique bracelets are worth!! Enjoy!
