"Sterling Silver & Turquoise" Floradora Charm Bracelet

I make very few Sterling Silver Floradoras, the reason being that I mostly like to work with funky, old costume bits and pieces ~ resulting, I think you must agree, in completely unique charm bracelets!

This beautiful Floradora is a departure from habit....originating out of a collection of gorgeous lamp work beads I bought just at the beginning of the craze for such work! I thought they were the most stunning, original beads I had ever seen, and they were exceptional at the time I bought them. Now, they are commonly called "Bumbies" and a cheaper, poorer version comes out of China now in a whole assortment of colors.

These beads have a soft turquoise color, and the "bumps' are a dove gray. This got me thinking about all the silver beads I have collected over my illustrious (?) career as a hoarder of extravagant and lovely bits and bobs!!! So.......I bought a new sterling bracelet chain and went to work!!!

The Sterling Silver Heart theme was born when I discovered I had some quite pretty vintage ones! Included in this collection is a delightful vintage sterling heart locket. Adding to the sterling beads and charms and hearts and miscellaneous, are some genuine turquoise stone heart beads to die for!! And a bunch of nuggets dangling amongst the silver.

This is a super stunning Floradora but because of the vintage sterling hearts which are very dear, it can't be cheap. However, it is admirably chunky and loaded with precious stuff, and is without a doubt an extraordinarily unusual bracelet!!
