Winsome English Oil Painting "The Gypsy Camp"

This captivating English landscape from the early 1900's is signed A.H. Coates inn the lower right hand corner. It is oil on board measuring 9.5" x 16.5" in excellent condition and offered framed in a simple antique wooden frame . Framed size is 12.5" x 16.5". The painter has captured a Gypsy camp alongside a lake on a warm summer's day. Two horse drawn caravans of the type the gypies lived and traveled in in the early 1900's are stopped beside the lake. Two Gypsies are intent on some task beside the road while their horses graze in a field next to them. In the background soft clouds hover over the waters with low mountains visible in the distance. The campers have hung their laundry to dry on bushes beside the water. You can almost hear the laundry flapping in the breeze,the birds chirping and smell the wildflowers. Such an interesting scene, and so different from the typical bucolic English landscape! Nice detail, especially the lovely horse in the foreground. Great colors. Can't make out the word/name in left lower, please see picture. Frame is in good condition for age with some nicks and scratches, none of which detract. Bottom label on back reads: "Hunt's Picture Framing in all its Branches. Cabinet Makers, Gilding & Mounting. 5 Queen Street, Godalming. No. 8585" (Godalming is a town in Sussex county, UK) Top label is torn, reading "Bryce..." perhaps a gallery name? Such a fun painting, sure to be a conversation piece!
