This would make a wonderful holiday gift! This plate is in one of the prettiest flow blue patterns around. Made by W. H. Grindley & Co. circa 1891, it features an elaborate scenic medallion depicting three oriental ladies and their dog strolling in a river side garden with fountains, urns and a lovely fir tree swirling above their heads. Across the river a palace and mountains reflect in the water. A tranquil scene and the perfect shade of intense cobalt blue. The wide border alternates another smaller scenic with floral gadroons. Altogether striking! Looks wonderful hanging or in your bookcase. Excellent condition with no cracks chips, stains or repairs. Age appropriate crazing and light utensil marks. Measures 9" diameter.
