I designed and soldered this asymmetrically shaped pendant using 16 gauge Sterling Silver wire and Sterling Silver filigree wire! There are more soldered joints in this piece than you can imagine! Lots of hours of work in this one! The length is 3 inches with an overall width of 1 1/8 inches. The 6x8mm cabochon of Amethyst is bezel set in a closed back cabochon setting of Sterling Silver. There is a Sterling Silver bail ready to receive your favorite chain up to 3.5mm which is a fairly heavy chain. I really enjoyed creating the design! While it is very intricate and there is a lot of Silver in it, wearing weight is light and lacy! As always, the piece is much more beautiful in hand than the picture is able to capture!
