I have incorporated vintage brass components liberally paste set with stones and vintage fluted brass components with small accents of gold glass beads to create an Indian style necklace. The title, Maharani, is a word indicating the female equivalent of a Maharajah (Sanskrit for great king, or high king). The necklace is weighty as jewelry for a noble woman would be. Each medallion measures 1 7/8 inches in diameter and is set with crystals of ruby with a pinkish tint, peridot, and citrine. Length of the necklace is adjustable from 18 to 20 inches.
