This is another one of my "Nostalgia" designs inspired by the work of Miriam Haskell and Hattie Carnegie! A large and very ornamental leaf motif vintage brass buckle serves as a frame work for French beaded flowers and other various ornamental components that have been hand wired to 10kt Gold plated filigree in the front of the frame. William Wordsworth, in a poem titled, "To The Daisy", referred to this fair flower as the poet's darling, hence the name! Six lovely Daisies have been French beaded with white pearl glass beads, accented at centers with matte finished translucent yellow glass beads elegantly appointed with five fancy leaves of deep green glass. An Oval of fused dichroic glass is wire wrapped with 14 gauge Sterling Silver wire and formed to create a brooch! I created this brooch with the art glass of glass artist Carolyn Relei. Dimensions are 2 1/2 inches by 2 inches. The pin portion is a rather heavy pin, and meant to slip through more porous fabrics such as a sweater or a scarf with an open weave. Great on Knitted or crocheted garments! As always, jewelry items are box shipped with insurance and delivery confirmation included!

A green leaf of matte finished glass beads, puffs of white tulle, and a spray of borealis finished teardrops add color and texture.
