This is a very pretty piece with stunning 'raised' flower decoration painted on. The shape is most uncommon with 16 large "dimples" in the bowl surface. Height is 6" and width at opening is 7". Some wear to gilt edging paint at rim and signs of use as a pot plant holder inside. No chips or cracks. A very pretty Jardiniere dating to the early 1900's.

A small tin that held just 4 ounces of DUTCH GIRL BRAND Cocoa by GROOTES' of Holland, under the BIRD OF PARADISE Trademark. The tin is rust free and in wonderful condition for over 100 years of age. The tin is just 3 5/8" high X 2 3/8" X 1 7/8". It has a a Guarantee under the Pure Food Act of 1908 on it so we can therefore date it quite accurately.

Lovely little old COCOA TIN with wonderful graphics on all sides. Probably a Sample Tin as it is just 3.5" tall.....from the well known Dutch firm of DROSTE. There are two Award Medallions displayed on the tin for 1898 and 1904. THE TIN IS RUST FREE and is in wonderful condition for a tin of over 100 years old..

This is a real 'oldie' with original paper label...I would think it dates to early 1900's. The tin is 4 3/4" high and 2 3/4" square. There is some loss of label paper and general deterioration but as can be seen it is reasonably intact. The tin itself is free from rust.

A most interesting piece of heavy metal...brass I think...with a gilt finish over an almost BAROQUE mix of leaves and vines with a Center Piece "Victorian looking" Ladies Head at top. This is a good sized item being 19" in overall length and 11 1/4" in width. The space for the mirror.... (or picture / photograph) is 8 3/4" x 6 1/2". Looking at the back one can see the age marks on the item....at some time metal corners have been welded to the back edges of the hole space obviously to help hold / ...

The medal was designed by Douglas Richardson and distributed by the Department of Defence. Obverse – An Australian soldier and sailor support a shield, above which is the rising sun and the word VICTORY. The shield bears the legend THE TRIUMPH OF LIBERTY AND JUSTICE THE PEACE OF 1919. An original World War One SOLDBUCH for a soldier who served in the 11. Ersatz-Bataillon, Infanterie-Regiment 66, 2 Kompagnie in 1916. There are only a couple of pay entries made so it would appear his military life was a short one. In original worn condition but in very good order apart from the back page having been replaced by a blue one...probably more to hold the book together more than anything.

This is one of the older ones....stamped JAPAN on base....and it has the inset magnet in the base to allow it to be attached to a car dashboard. The figurine appears to be ceramic and it stands 7" tall...under the Hula skirt is a large spring so she 'wobbles' (or does the Hula) with any movement or vibration. Note the excellent features and attention to detail....this is a "classy" HULA GIRL FIGURINE compared to many of the later plastic versions.

This is mainly a 'photographic' look at the Diggers and their exploits in World War One but it also contains some excellent humorous art depictions. In very good condition for age....some wear on spine and cover edges, small rip on front inner page, and signs of the book having being folded in first half of the book. No age spotting evident at all.

This is a very solid STONEWARE Mortar and Pestle ex a Chemist or Pharmacy shop. It is the smaller version being 3 1/2" in height with a lip diameter of 6". Both the bowl and the Pestle are branded WEDGWOOD and the bowl also has the date marks of 24.11.65 on the base....so over 45 years of age on the piece. The Pestle Handle appears to English Ash wood I think. In lovely condition with no cracks or ships.Being made of Stoneware this is HEAVY...freight to the USA /UK /Europe will be approximately ...

A solid ashtray in lovely "crackle glass" with a hand painted HUNTSMAN hand painted on it. There is a tiny "flea bite" out of the inner rim and this has "starred" a little under the rim but is not really noticeable.We have however reduced the price to this fault into account.

I think this is brass with a rolled rose gold front.....very elaboate Art Nouveau engraving...really pretty piece. Someone has scratched their initials in the front panel but properly engraved initials could easily hide this.Measures 1 1 /8" x 1" approx. There are some faint markings on back.

It is quite large and heavy....measures 13" in length and 6" at widest point in size....and is over 2.5 kilos in weight. Nicely carved and painted decorative item.

This is a nice large one without any cracks or chips. The Potty, or portable toilet bowl, stands 5" in height and has a diameter of 9" across the opening. Note the nice ornate Nouveau handle and the swirling ribbed pattern on the bowl. There is a makers imprint mark on the base but I just can't make it out.
