This is a very nice memento of Queen Victoria's 50 year Reign in 1897 and not one I've seen before....this is a British Pin that I found recently in England. A lovely set of early Georgian period Sugar Cutters.These are from England originally and are a large set of Snips being 9 1/4" in length and 3 1/4" across the jaws. The sprung steel band on the inside of the handle arm has long since disappeared but otherwise the set is in very nice condition for an implement of around two hundred plus years of age. In the 1700's, sugar was bought in huge conical loaves weighing as much as 18lbs, although small loaves of about 3lbs were more common for domestic ...

A very heavy old glass bottomed Victorian Pewter Tankard with Half Pint markings, measuring 4" in height. I'm told the glass bottoms were introduced because the Press Gangs paid offsiders to drop a shilling into unwary drinkers tankards....with the glass bottom you could of course spot this so could not have your beer tipped out and be found guilty of "having taken the Queens Shilling" and suddenly find yourself aboard ship without a "how you do". Nice condition.

This is Victorian or Edwardian period I'd say. The Makers Plaque is on the inside lid.... J. EVAN & SON, 33 King William St, London. The tin is 9 3/4" x 6 1/2" and is 3 1/2" in height. Inside there are six individual tin containers plus the removable Spice Grater mounted on the lid. A past owner has repainted the main case at some stage.....I think a good sanding and decent blacking would be a good thing to do to make it look 100%. ......these Spice Tins are quite sort after and getting harder ...

These are really old...A similar pair listed in CARTERS ANTIQUE GUIDE has them as Circa 1800 and priced at Australian $1400-1600 for the pair. This set stand at 8 1/2' in height and have the bases weighted with broken glass. A large part of the silver plate has worn away leaving the copper showing.One has marks as follows.... IIII, and the other has...GM. Overall condition is otherwise very good.

A very nice Pear Shaped Mug with 3 touch marks or Hall Marks stamped near handle / rim. The base has a mark SP1012 and a small double cross mark. The Tankard stands 4 3/4" high and has an approximate diameter at the widest point of 3 1/2". In researching this it is described as a Scottish Tavern Mug Circa 1830. A solid and heavy tankard in excellent condition
