A Most Unusual...19th century European Machine-made Lace Shawl. Hand Applied Thin Silver Strips Woven into one or two openings [of the lace] create this Simple but Most Attractive Geometric Design... The history given to me is....that it was from eastern Europe...either Czechoslovakia or Austria...and, that a very similar item is in the Jewish Museum in Prague...and has been Identified as a 'Woman's Sabbath Shawl'...Measures 240 cm x 65 cm. Excellent Condition...Shipping & Insurance is included within continental United States.
