London, Chapman & Hall 1844, Octavo, Illustrated by Phiz rebound with 5 raised bands on spine with gilt . Title only on spine. Boards and page edges marbled. Shows some wear. Plates show some age brown spots. Title page, 186 Strand. Preface dated June 25, 1844. Errata leaf is 14 lines; the vignette title page has "100" on signpost, with pound sign after the number; trunk lid has 7 studs. This book was authenticated by antiquarian appraiser in the 1980's. The pages with pencil, that show in pictures were left in book and are very light.
