SALE Dress Clip 'LADY IN RED' with Swarovski Crystal Rhondelles and large West German Glass Beads

I suspect that the base that I have used to make this Dress Clip was an original unsigned M. Haskell. The components were (large faux) pearls, but that was about all that was recognizable when I found it in a huge pile of old costume jewelry.

Because the clip part is still 100% working and (other than some minor loss of gold color) in perfect condition I felt it definitely needed a revival.

I used the most beautiful West German Deep Red Glass beads in sizes 4mm. through 12mm. for all the fringe drops. The japanned crystal AB rhinestone rhondelles I believe to be vintage, the gold colored beadcaps are definitely contemporary.

The seedbeads (at the base of every fringe drop) are beautiful dark bronze colored very vintage French rocailles, the real McCoy, not cheapo's!

The findings at the top are gold colored leaves and a vintage gold colored button with beautiful relief.

Because everything is solid glass it is a pretty hefty piece that cannot be worn on - let's say - a silk sheath dress. It measures a little over 3" up and down, the width is 2" at the narrowest position but it spreads out to almost 4 inches.

Some of the pix (pic 1, 2 and 6) are made with a flash which makes the colors come out more transparent; you can clearly see the difference between these pix and the ones made with only natural light because on those pix the colors are more deeply colored. This is the way they are in reality, a very deep red color.
