The Amethyst beads in this necklace are just gorgeous. The color is beautiful deep purple; they are smoothly polished, and measure 18mm x 13mm x 6mm. Each bead has an elegant engraving. The total weight of the 15 large Amethyst beads is 209 carats, I didn't weigh the 5 smaller beads.

The spacer beads are very hard to come by: 6mm Swarovski art. 5040 in the discontinued color Aurum 2x which means they are coated twice with 14kt gold. On both sides of these crystal beauties sit small 14kt (4mm) Gold Vermeil daisy spacer beads.

I have kept the design simple. Just a classic choker, but these Amethyst gemstones do all the talking. The combination of Amethyst with gold is warm and elegant.

The shortest wearing length is 17 1/4", with a 2 1/4" extender which gives a total wearing length of 19 1/2".

The earrings are suspended from gold-plated French wires. These earrings have the same beads, the only difference is that the Amethyst beads in the earrings are a tad smaller, about 12mm.
