The base for these earrings is carefully shaped into a teardrop shape, then hammered to give it strength and support.

The outside of this frame is wrapped with sterling silver wire, and small creamy fresh water seed pearls. These pearls give the earrings a soft, lacey and feminine appearance.

The inside of the frame is embellished with small Thai Karen Hill Fine Silver etched beads, with at the center a large Fancy cut Light Violet Amethyst.

At the bottom is a rather substantial elongated faceted teardrop of Smokey Quartz, and Fresh Water Keishi Pearls that are attached with Sterling Silver Headpins.

The ear wires are hand shaped and hammered to fit your ears without the use of wings or ear nuts. Everything in these earrings is handmade, no factory made components are used. Finally the finished pieces are oxidized and softly polished to give them depth and an antique look.

The length of these earrings is 2 3/4" NOT including the wires, and 1" across at the widest point.
