1841 Dated & Signed American Woven Coverlet

This antique woven coverlet was signed and dated "1841 ELIZABETH JACOB DARON"(SEE PHOTO). The 99-1/2" by 82" coverlet colors are red, olive and cobalt blue on a beige background. There are two maker's signature blocks - one is reverse and one is forward(SEE PHOTO). Can be read whatever side is displayed. There is a vertical center seam that is sewn together. This seam is common in early coverlet because the weaver's loom was limited in size. Good condition with some minor staining(SEE PHOTO) on signature area and short areas of the seam need re-sewing.
