An 18th century faience plate from the faience factory of Gaspard Robert in Marseille, circa 1770 (rococo period). A matching tureen and stand are exhibited in the Sevres Museum and are illustrated in Guilleme Brulon's "Histoire de la Faience Francaise: Moustiers & Marseille," pp. 120-121, as shown in the images.

Diameter: 10 1/4 in. (26 cm.)
