A lovely 19th century French silver bowl by the famed house of Puiforcat! It is beautifully rimmed with a laurel wreath and a border of pearls. The bowl is a perfect size for serving salad, vegetables or bread. The underside of the bowl bears the Minerve I guarantee for .950 silver (purer than sterling's .925); plus the hallmark for Emil Puiforcat, E pen knife E, who traded at 18 rue Chaponin, Paris, from 1857. Silver weight 352 grams (11.32 ozt.) See photos for measurements.

The bowl is in good condition, with a few tiny dings as indicated in the photos. Nothing serious but they could be removed by your local silversmith if desired. The bowl displays nicely with its simple elegance and fine quality.
